This Month: Recap of Trust, Faith, Belief and Healing
Trust, Faith, and Belief have similar meanings. We have talked about these at length, and how the words can be interchangeable. Healing has to have all of these to manifest. If you don’t believe there is a God, then you won’t believe He can heal you. Here are some past and new scriptures of the words we have studied this month.
Discussion
Heb 11:1
- Now faith is confidence in what we hope forand assurance about what we do not see.
Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.
Corrie Ten Boom
It a complete circuit: Heart, Mouth, Ears, Head, Heart.
John 3:16-18New International Version (NIV)
- 16 For God so lovedthe world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
James 2:14-26New International Version (NIV)
Faith and Deeds
- 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
- 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
- Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
- 20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]?21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[b] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
- 25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Discussion:
**Praise God for your healing OUT LOUD**
Confession for physical healing: “I know it is God’s will for me to be healthy and whole. I praise the Lord and thank Him for healing all of my diseases as I put my faith and trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6
- Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Rom 10:17
- 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
James 1:2-8
Trials and Temptations
- 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a]whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1:13-15
- 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
John 12:44-46 New International Version (NIV)
- 44 Then Jesus cried out,“Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
